Box League - July

Fill out the survey – you won’t win a prize …

Before we get to the business of the league, I just wanted to remind you that we’ve put out a survey. We (the squash committee) would like to know what you think of squash at Southport Racquet Club, so we can better represent your needs, wishes, dreams, hopes and desires. Like the sign says, there’s no prize for filling out the survey, but I can guarantee you will feel good afterwards.

Go to: http://srcsquash.blogspot.com/2009/06/2009-src-squash-membership-survey.html

And now – the league.

We say a goodbye to Rich Tallo (this is no vacation – he is packing up his bags and going to Philly - we’ll miss you), Alex Dodge (it was short and sweet), George Bakes (off to get in shape for the summer), Chris Maitland (hopefully we will see him hobbling back at the club soon), William Mason and David Semple have both found something better to do till August. Ned leaves for Ireland for a month.

And hello to a new/ old face. Sutton Keany hasn’t played here since ’01. But he’s baaaack! So is our famous two handed player, Steve Wateridge.

See the new league at http://srcsquash.blogspot.com/

We have also put up a Computer at the club. You can enter your scores straight after a match. Don’t forget to log in to make that happen. Instructions attached.

The Lunch Ladder is going electronic and beginning to use the US Squash League system. That happens this month, and they have been rechristened the Lunch League.

And one last favor. On your US Squash Profile, there is an option for Home Club. You will find it after you have logged in under My Account>Personal>Club Name. If you could fill out Southport Racquet Club, it would make the administration of the leagues a tad easier. Thanks.
