It's just too much hassle.

It looks like a LEAGUE Jim, but not as we know it…

"What - a ladder - I play on that every month?!?"
Strictly speaking, and according to US Squash, the box league and the lunch league are leagues, NOT ladders. Six (roughly) of you play in your league every month, battling for promotion or trying to avoid relegation. You have to committ to playing at least four matches a month, or you won't stay up. Worse, you will annoy your league mates. The ladder is different.

THE SRC CHALLENGE LADDER
1. It's for ALL players at Southport Racquet Club, and will allow you to find and play competitive matches with players of equal ability, regardless of whether you normally play in a league, or only play friendly games.
IF YOU ALREADY PLAY IN THE LUNCH LEAGUE, OR THE BOX LEAGUE.

· You don't have to do anything else. Your league matches will automatically count as challenge matches.
· In the Match results on your US Squash profile, you will see a notation "ladder credit" next to your league match, and a green up arrow or red down arrow depending whether your league match had an affect on your ladder position.
· You can also play extra matches. Challenge anyone you would like within 7 spots of your position. If you win, you move ahead of them. If you lose, no change. These matches can be played AS WELL as your league matches. They count for your US Squash rating.
· You don't have to play them within a specified time period.
USING THE LADDER

· You can see where you are on the ladder by looking at Ladders.
· You can set your availability. Click on the availability tab to do so.
IF YOU ARE NOT PLAYING IN THE LEAGUE THIS MONTH, DUE TO INJURY, OR SCHEDULE COMMITMENTS

· You will still stay on the ladder. You have two options. You can still play challenge matches outside of league matches. They won't affect your league status. They will affect your ranking within the club, and your US Squash rating.
· If you can't play - you are away, or have an injury - You can click on the edit button next to SRC Challenge ladder - and set your return date.
